Working climate influences health / connection between the satisfaction of employees and corporate profits
March 1, 2001 - NFO Infratest has recently proved in a major representative study, what personnel managers have always assumed: a company’s working climate has an immediate impact on the number of shortterm illnesses of employees. This is true for men and women alike, as well as for all ages.
“The employees are the real capital of a company“, so Infratest researchers. To increase the satisfaction of employees (“ employee commitment“) and a motivating environment contribute considerably to the economic success of a company. Improving the working climate index by as little as 5 percent already results in efficiency gains of the overall workforce of 0.5 percent and therefore also in direct cost reduction.
For the representative study, more than 33.000 employees of all industries in Germany were interviewed by NFO Infratest at the end of the year 2000.
